Action-Housing is a non-profit
organization specializing in housing matters.
Since 1989, Action-Housing has been meeting the needs of the population
of the Regional Municipality of Ottawa-Carleton (mainly in the East of RMOC)
by providing information about private market and social housing, helping
people in their search for adequate housing, and offering legal advice on
housing matters.
It also offers a free advertisement service for private market units. Both landlords and renters can benefit from this service by
placing ads in our data base.
Our services are offered through the main office, located in Vanier, and
satellite offices.

A one-stop, drop-in service to help people with their practical housing
problems. Provides assistance regarding housing emergencies, evictions,

ALZHEIMER DAY AWAY PROGRAMS
Programs for people with a diagnosis
of Alzheimer=s
disease who are living at home are offered one to two days per week at a cost
of $15 to $20 per day including a hot lunch, plus $5 for transportation.
An expert staff and volunteers provide a
loving and interesting Day Away Program for people suffering from Alzheimer=s
Disease. This program gives them
and their family members the chance to socialize and enjoy themselves.
Clients are treated with dignity and respect.
All aspects of the program promote a sense of accomplishment,
well-being, body awareness and positive self-esteem. The program structure is flexible and activities are
determined by the client=s
functional ability.
