Muslims pray five times a day.  Due to the limited number of mosques, it is not convenient for most of the Muslim population to travel to the mosques for each prayer.   Although Muslims may pray at their homes, workplace or business, it is highly recommended for them to pray in congregation.  As the Muslim population increases, it is becoming more convenient to pray at locations closer to their homes or workplace. When it is time to pray, finding a suitable location in the city is not always possible or convenient.   In addition to the mosques, Prayer areas or Musallahs ,  are being established throughout the city to facilitate the performance of this important act of workship for Muslims.  Note that the Jumu'ah or Friday prayer is not held at all  Musallahs, one must go to one of the Mosques in the area or to facilities/ premises that hold Friday prayers.  For locations where Friday prayers are held, go to  Friday Prayers.    Information on prayer - Fiqh us-Sunnah Volumes one and two
